Time is running out for parents, grandparents and guardians wanting
to register their children for the winter quarter of swimming lessons beginning Feb. 10
through early March.
Longtime certified instructor
Mary Jo Murphy returns to coordinate the swim lessons that are offered once each quarter by the city recreation department
for participants of all ages.
Anyone from beginner to advance
swimmers may participate in the 8-session course scheduled Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from Feb. 10 through March 5. Instruction
Levels 1 - 4 run in conjunction with the American Red Cross aquatic swim program.
Tuesday, March 10 will serve as a makeup day for lessons.
Organizers said the swim
lessons will remain on a limited first-come, first-serve reservation basis to allow for smaller groups with more individual
attention given to participants.
Scheduled lessons for the
spring quarter are as follows:
- LEVEL 1: From 4 to 4:30 p.m.
-LEVEL 1B (Levels
1 & 2 Only): From 4:30 to 5 p.m.
- LEVEL 1C (Levels 1 & 2 Only): From 5 to 5:30 p.m.
- LEVEL 2, 3, 4: From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The cost swim lessons
vary for individual and sibling sign-ups.

Center members and non-members.
