A field of more than 125 area runners, walkers and youngsters participated in the annual Marland Heights 5-K Classic on Friday, Aug. 17.

The community race, hosted by the Weirton Board of Parks & Recreation, attracted runners from the Tri-State area, including 60 entries for the 3.1-mile stretch and 32 others who took part in either the two-mile fitness walk or youth fun run.
