The annual Weirton Summer Holiday Parade is just around the corner and there are still openings for those wanting to participate.

   Area dance schools, social and service organizations, churches, antique car collectors or anyone else who wants to may take part in the July 4th parade along Main Street.

   The parade will begin at 10 a.m. in the north end of Main Street and proceed south just past the Millsop Community Center to the intersection with Marland Heights Road.

   This year’s theme is WEIRTON - 100 YEARS IN THE MAKING.

   Anyone wanting to take part in the parade can do so by stopping by Weirton Millsop Community Center for an application and paying the nominal $5 entry fee.
