The Downtown Squad is the 2009 Millsop High School Hoop League champions after an impressive 45-40 win March 11 against the B-L Dream Team.

In a game that was close all the way through, DTS battle back from as many as eight points down in the first half to go into the intermission leading 27-26.

Joe Whitehead powered the Dream Team's attack with 19 first half points, but he was held to just 6 points in the second frame to finish with 25.

For the victors, Corey Enrietti and Bryant Davidson led the way with 16 and 15 points respectively. Davidson's clutch three-pointer in the final 1:30 sealed the title for DTS.
